this theme is very interesting, so i asked an ex-pro from swiss in a german forum.
he wrote me that he can´t say who made the frames, but he will fon with paul köchli himself to ask.

We figured that because of the TT bike that he was riding. Gitane actually featured the same TT bikes in their catalogue from the year prior, but they weren't made by Gitane....had to be Cyfac.

Damned Fignon and the friggin Raleighs!

Fignons Raleigh was build by Cyfac 89. Thats the same like Dario Pegoretti biuld the Pinarellos for Indurain

my gitane is painted in the old darkblue >82. the team pros <83 have a bright blue.
i had on my old one a yellow saddle and yellow bartape but i found its not perfect. now i get a blue benotto ...

i got a rare french treading campa SR bottom bracket for my gitane. its the version with aluminium cups and 113mm axle.

original was a sugino BB with a longer axle installed but is was to long for ...
