I was not quite cleared up about the model. I searched, but I did not find this model in any catalog. Can you help me and tell me what model I bought? We're missing some catalogs from those years. It was most likely a lower priced performance model made for the French market. Huret and Simplex derailleurs were used interchangeably on Gitane back then. Gitane AEROTUB 102 was lighter weight carbon steel tubing similar to Peugeot's CARBOLITE 103. More expensive models used Reynolds 531, Columbus or Super Vitus tubing which was stronger and lighter weight. _________________ Chas. It may be brought in the UK? It may be a British model? I'll keep looking ... I'll look for catalogs from the period 1980 to 1983. The missing. Anyway, thanks very much for the information. And indeed it is an incredible bike. We already have almost 1200 km. It is perfect. I did not do any adjustment.
