JFB on a Gitane. What I cant figure is why they didn't change the colour scheme to match the Toshiba team? It was still very similar to the Systeme U bike from the previous year.

Anyone know JFB's size specs? The bike on ebay can only be 56 - 58 cm.

Gtane:
I'm, frankly, "photo challenged" to date, but I'm working on it. I would like to do some photographs of this 653. It is not as distinctive as say, the 1984 Columbus SL/Spidel Team Pro (the replica of Laurent Fignon's 1983 TDF winner) or the 1987 Reynolds 531P/Campag. C-Record Team Replica, but its' still a pretty nice Gitane.
Best,
Peter H.

Thanks Peter, and Lofter, all the best on getting the bike.

Wisey, Sandman,
The Histor-Sigma bikes shown are the Vitus GTI (alloy, double butted and ribbed (as Columbus SLX)) bikes. Components were Stronglight (cranks) and Sachs.

The team also rode Vitus Alu-Carbone models (re-badged Vitus Carbones)? I have a shot of the great Stephen Roche on one of the latter velos at the 1990 Paris-Nice.

Taking pictures of the 653, plus possibly, another one. Now, to develop the skill to post same after development!
Best,
Peter H.[/i]

Here is some more on that Toshiba team in 1989. Note that the press picture for uses what appears to be a Look frame. However, the cover shot (May 89) is all Gitane.
