I bought this in 1975 in Creve Coeur Mo. and used it a lot for the first few years. It hung in my garage for many years unused then I recently put a little money in it to make it a commuter bike.
The original rear dérailler gave out on a big hill. It was a Shimano 600, hense the name. Where does this fit with the other models I've seen mentioned?

Bill,
Sounds like you will be using it for its intended purpose...a commuter. I hope you are enjoying it.
I'm still trying to finish up a Gitane Interclub as a casual City bike.
