Nice bike! Cool

What components do you have on it?

I need to get started on my 84 Team Pro. I have all of the parts ready to go.

BTW, Greg at Cyclomondo on eBay has French Columbus tubing decals for your bike. He doesn't advertise them, you have to request them.

What year is that bike? The cable routing points to a late 1980's Team pro, but the fork is Columbus(?). I am interested in opinions here, because the frame is definitely not a 1984. Could it be one of those odd-ball Euro 1985/6's?

Stephan, I originally posted pics of bike oct 2008, you had told me then, via e-mail,you thought it was indeed a late 80s odd ball w/columbus forks. Right now it has michelin tires, Mavic rims, campy- hubs, headset, seat post, cranks chainrings. soma track pedals & Shimano 105 index derailleurs.

Its a mix-match-Fignon-replica-odd-ball, that goes great with my other classic- Ciocc

Well...there have been some Columbus Gitane bikes sold in the mid-1980's, I think. Some of the people on this site have them. Sorry if this is repetitive, but do you know what the main tubes are made of? Columbus or Reynolds? Also, what are the dropouts? Simplex or Campagnolo?

Interesting frame.
Has under the top-tube cable routing.
Yet has the frame number tab also.

I thought the newer frames (with campy dropouts, Reynolds 531 tubing) had discontinued the frame number tabs (since European Pro racing went to soft frame number (stickers) instead.

This is a really difficult frame to figure out the exact vintage.
I vote that this is a "Hyrbrid" of sorts.

Did it come with this fork?

Gitane liked the number tabs: they included them on high-end bikes through the early 1990's. Check out the catalogues on the website:
