Saur slipped off the back today: Looks like Casper was in the 'autobus'. The stage included a large "bump" (i.e. climb) in the middle. I think they are waiting for sprint stages (look for them in stages 8 & 10)... Engoulvent dropped to 4th, which is still pretty high in the GC. I think Levarlet missed the time cut....
Stage 1 Results:

Well...i was wrong about the stages: Jimmy Casper won the sprint to take Stage 3 of the tour of Portugal! There was a nasty climb on the stage, but it came early enough for the peloton to regroup, apparently. I thought that this stage might lend itself to a breakaway, but I was wrong (again).
Great result for Jimmy! It must have been hot and hectic: No time to zip up the jersey??? C'mon Jimmy, your sponsors expect that!

Not much to report here. Saur is biding their time for another opportunity at the sprint. Watch for Casper on stages 6, 8 and perhaps 10.
They all came in (with the exception of Y. Talabardon) with the 'autobus'!
Stage 4 Results:
1 David Blanco (Spa) Palmeiras Resort - Tavira 4:43:50
29 Yannick Talabardon (Fra) Saur Sojasun 0:03:29
118 Jimmy Casper (Fra) Saur Sojasun 0:32:06
122 Rony Martias (Fra) Saur Sojasun 0:32:06
125 Julien Simon (Fra) Saur Sojasun
126 Jimmy Engoulvent (Fra) Saur Sojasun
129 Cyril Lemoine (Fra) Saur Sojasun
130 Jean Marc Marino (Fra) Saur Sojasun
General Classification:
1 David Blanco (Spa) Palmeiras Resort - Tavira 18:13:23
31 Yannick Talabardon (Fra) Saur Sojasun 0:05:08
108 Julien Simon (Fra) Saur Sojasun 0:43:06
115 Rony Martias (Fra) Saur Sojasun 0:45:05
116 Jimmy Engoulvent (Fra) Saur Sojasun 0:45:19
118 Jean Marc Marino (Fra) Saur Sojasun 0:46:27

Nothing much to report here...except for Yannick Talabardon seems to have been omitted from the memo distribution list. A good result for the stage, but I think the team is biding its time for Casper.

The break stayed away, and therefore there was no sprint finish today. A big mountain and then some hills approaching the finish prevented us from taking another stage.

Tomorrow is the day we are waiting for. Today's mountain top finish didn't suit us at all. Must have been a hellish day for the 'autobus': Calculators working overtime! Jimmy Casper is three minutes from being the Lanterne Rouge.

The sprint didn't go as planned...but then they rarely do! The actual winner was relegated for "dangerous sprinting" (redundant?), so it must have been hectic.

Julian Simon won the stage today, but was relegated after the judges said that he impeded local favorite Candido Barbosa. After watching the sprint, it was an ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE CALL! The slight move to the left is part of sprinting, and was at or over the line. I just don't see it, but then what do I know!?!
Here it is...you can watch it for yourself and judge (sprint is at 05:20):

Overall, a very successful Tour for Saur. 2 (or 3) stage wins out of 11 ain't bad!
