So I'm in the process of repainting my Gitane (see other thread about that) and I ordered these decals from Cyclomondo to replace the ones I had. However, I only had a few of these decals on my frame and so I do not know where the large wings on the left are supposed to go. I've searched through the catalogues but cannot find a picture that uses all of these, only select ones. Maybe I'll just use a few.

Also, please note that the color scheme on my frame (including decals) is all custom since it had already been repainted and modified from the original. The frame itself is a 73', but I believe the decals are late 80s.

Those decals aren't going to work with that paint scheme. I would only use the name decals. Is there a reason you decided to use these ones?

Thanks. I figured the large wings wouldn't work. I picked this set because it matched the set my dad put on this bike years ago (at the time he couldn't find the original foil ones) and I liked the look. I ended up just applying the name decals in the same locations as he did. See the before and after:

The color isn't black, it's red? How did you do that?

Yup. I had Greg Softley over at Cyclomondo make me a custom set to match the new paint. I'm really happy with how they turned out.
