I like the curve on the fork. Straight forks may be equally functional (so they say, I'm not sure myself) but they don't look right. |

I still think that model is better looking than the 2(?) models since then.
What is the little wire attached to the saddle rail? |

That holds the Saint Christopher medallion, which is supposed to keep me alive when I ride my bike (Catholic voodoo). It was on my bike when the following occured:
(1) Crash in a race where I chipped 4 of my vertebrae, but no damage to the spinal cord;
(2) Several other crashes in races; and
(3) I was hit by a car, which crash ripped a hole in my neck stretching from above my ear to my adams apple, requiring 2 staples and over 350 stitches. It came within mm's of my carotid artery. Oh yeah...the crash also broke my hand "off", which they were able to reattach using 4 nails. Very bad crash....
So, either the medal has worked and has kept me alive (no real lasting injuries from any crashes), or it hasn't worked to help me avoid the above. I prefer to think the former...others may disagree. But either way, the medal stays. |

Is your glass half empty, or half full? Sounds like you are going with the half full option. Given that you are alive & whole, have a beeautiful wife and 3 cute kids, I would tend to agree. St Christopher medal? Hey, whatever works mate. Do you shave on the morning of a TT? Now that's Cycling voodoo . |
